Managing Eating Disorders in Pediatric Patients

An e-course and webinar hosted by the Strategic Training Initiative for the Prevention of Eating Disorders (STRIPED) and the Eating Disorders Coalition (EDC), supported by the Office on Women’s Health of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Audience: Primary care providers serving children, adolescents, and young adults
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: Free
Credit: 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit is available; 3 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits​ are available with additional participation

Learning Objectives

  • Recognize the types and consequences of EDs and gaps in care among children, adolescents and young adults in the United States.
  • Identify potential signs and symptoms of EDs in children, adolescents and young adults and perform screening with a validated questionnaire.
  • Use an interactive online tool to identify local specialists and refer patients when screening indicates concern.

Webinar Registration

To receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit if you are a MD, nurse, or PA:

1. Complete the registration form above.
2. Complete the pre-webinar survey by clicking the link in the registration form.
3. Upon completion of the pre-webinar survey, you will be sent an email directing you to watch the webinar and complete the post-webinar survey.
4. You will receive a certificate with your 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit by email within 7 business days.

*If you choose the 3 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, you will receive an email to complete the first set of your spaced learning questions via QStream. This email will be sent sometime within the next 2 months after completing the post-webinar survey. 

Upon successful completion of the pre-webinar survey, post-webinar survey, QStream questions, and 2-month post-webinar survey, you will be emailed a certificate with your CME credits within 7 business days.
